Transmission

Transmission

Transmitting an astrology
of consciousness

To teach not a technique, but a path. For more than fifty years, Samuel has accompanied those who wish to make their birth chart a true instrument of self-knowledge and inner growth.

The spirit of the teaching

Freed early on from purely technical constraints, Samuel sees the birth chart as a mandala — a support for meditation and self-knowledge, in the lineage of Dane Rudhyar, who entrusted him with the mission of transmitting humanistic and transpersonal astrology. It is not a matter of learning to “read” a sky map, but of setting out on a path toward what is right for oneself.

My aim is not to teach astrology, but to lead those who come to work with me to begin a reflection on themselves and to grow into what is “right”.

Today: personalised cycles

After thirteen cohorts since the school’s founding in 1995, the regular four-year curriculum has come to an end. The transmission now continues in a more flexible form: personalised training cycles, designed after an interview, for those who wish to approach astrology not only from a technical standpoint, but as a tool for understanding the meaning of one’s life and aligning the personality with the soul.

Occasional seminars

Samuel also leads seminars on subjects he could not fit into the curriculum:

  • Mundane astrology
  • Derived houses
  • Horary astrology
  • Harmonics and Arabic parts
  • Astrology and dreams
  • Astrology and meditation, drawing on the Yoga Sūtras of Patañjali

A transmission that continues

Beyond teaching, transmission today also takes place through writing — memoirs and essays — and through the creation of oracles and supports for symbolic meditation.
